The 75108 (Texas Instruments) is a dual differential line driver IC, part of the classic SN75107/SN75108 line driver/receiver pair family used in early standardized data communication systems.

75108 – How It Works

Working as the transmit-side counterpart to the SN75107 receiver, its two independent channels convert TTL-level logic signals into differential line-driving signals suited for transmission over twisted-pair cable, forming one of the earliest standardized building blocks for reliable digital data transmission over distance.

As one of the earliest standardized differential line driver parts, it predates and paved the way for later standards like RS-422/RS-485 handled by the 75174 also in this catalog.
