The BA718 (Rohm) is a dual (2-in-1) general-purpose operational amplifier IC, used for signal amplification, filtering, and comparison tasks in analog circuits.

BA718 – How It Works

Like other dual op-amp packages (LM358, MC1458), it packs two independent amplifier stages in one chip, with external feedback components shaping each one’s specific gain, filter, or comparator behavior.

Its actual behavior in a circuit is defined almost entirely by the external resistor/capacitor network around it, so replacing it alone rarely fixes a fault unless those surrounding components are also verified.
