SN7410 Triple 3-Input NAND Gate

The SN7410 has three independent NAND gates, each with 3 inputs. A NAND gate is the inverse of an AND gate: the output is low only when all three inputs are high; any other combination gives a high output.

7410 – How It Works

The NAND gate is significant because it’s a “universal gate” — any other logic function (AND, OR, NOT…) can be built using NAND gates alone, which reduces the variety of chip types needed in a larger design.
