SN7412 Triple NAND Gate (Open-Collector)

The SN7412 has three 3-input NAND gates like the 7410, but with open-collector outputs — an external pull-up resistor is required. This lets multiple open-collector outputs share the same line (wired-AND) without conflict.

7412 – How It Works

The key difference from a standard 7410 is that the output stage is open-collector — the internal transistor can only pull the line down to logic 0, and needs an external resistor to the supply to reach logic 1. That’s exactly what allows multiple outputs to share one wire without a short-circuit conflict.

الفرق الجوهري عن 7410 العادية إن مرحلة الخرج هنا Open-Collector — يعني الترانزستور الداخلي بيقدر بس “يسحب” الخط لأسفل (لصفر)، ومحتاج مقاومة خارجية توصله بالفولت عشان يقدر يطلع “واحد”.
