MB10414 Optocoupler

The MB10414 is an optocoupler IC — an LED and photodetector combined in one package to transfer a signal across an electrically isolated barrier using light instead of a direct wire connection.

MB10414 – How It Works

Like other optocouplers, current through the internal LED generates light that the photodetector picks up and converts back into an electrical signal, allowing a signal to cross between two circuits with no direct electrical connection between them.

It serves the same fundamental isolation role as the CNY17 and CNX35 also in this catalog — always verify the exact current-transfer ratio and voltage rating a specific repair calls for before substituting between them.
