The LA3376 (Sanyo) is a PLL FM multiplex stereo demodulator for car stereos, similar to the LA3370 but with an added pilot-cancel function to further clean up the recovered audio.

LA3376 – How It Works

Beyond standard PLL stereo decoding, its pilot-cancel circuit specifically removes residual 19kHz pilot tone leakage from the audio output — a refinement that reduces a subtle whistle or noise some basic decoders leave behind.

Being a refined successor in the same LA337x family as the LA3370, it’s generally not a direct pin-for-pin substitute — always check the exact original part number before replacing.
