LA78041 Vertical Deflection Output IC (Sanyo, Bus-Control)

The LA78041 (Sanyo, TO-220-7) is a vertical deflection output IC designed for high-image-quality TVs and large-screen CRTs, built to work with a bus-control-system signal-processing IC.

LA78041 – How It Works

It drives the deflection yoke directly from the sawtooth waveform generated by a separate bus-control signal-processing chip, including its DC component, and provides up to 2.2Ap-p of deflection current suited to larger CRT screens, with built-in charge-pump and thermal protection circuitry.

Compared to the standalone TDA1675A and TA8403K vertical deflection ICs also in this catalog, this Sanyo part is specifically designed to be paired with a companion bus-control signal processor for adjustable, software-controlled deflection settings.
