The UC3845 is a low-power variant current-mode PWM controller IC, part of the same UC384x family as the UC3843 and UC3844 also in this catalog, offering reduced startup and operating current.

UC3845 – How It Works

Like other UC384x family members also in this catalog, it uses current-mode control for reliable, self-limiting switching regulation, but with lower startup and operating current specifications making it slightly more efficient in standby-power-sensitive designs.

When a design specifically needs lower standby power draw than the UC3843/UC3844 also in this catalog provide, this variant is the better choice within the same family.
