UNI-T UT371 Tachometer

The UT371 laser tachometer measures rotation speed from 10 to 99,999 RPM without touching the shaft, using a laser beam reflected off a piece of tape stuck to the rotating part.

UT371 laser tachometer – How It Works

Stick a small piece of reflective tape on the rotating part, aim the laser from 50mm to 200mm away, and the sensor counts each reflection to calculate RPM across 4 auto-selected ranges (10-99, 100-999, 1000-9999, 10000-99999) at 0.04% accuracy. A separate count mode tallies total rotations from 0 to 99,999 instead of instantaneous speed, useful for totaling revolutions over a job rather than reading a live speed.

A USB interface lets you pull logged readings to a PC, and MAX/MIN/AVG modes plus data hold cover the standard workflow of catching a peak speed or freezing a value to note down.

Speed Measurement Notes

For optical measurement, fit a reflective marker to the rotating part and keep the beam perpendicular to it, because an angled beam can miss the marker on each revolution and halve the displayed reading. One clean marker per revolution is what produces a trustworthy figure.

Keep a safe distance from rotating machinery and never let the instrument, its cable, or loose clothing near moving parts. Confirm the reading by taking it twice at different angles, since a reflection from an unintended shiny surface on the machine is a classic cause of an unexpectedly high result.

ملاحظات قياس السرعة

للقياس البصري، ركب علامة عاكسة على الجزء الدوار وخلي الشعاع عمودي عليها، لأن شعاع مايل ممكن يفوّت العلامة كل لفة ويقسم القراءة الظاهرة على اتنين. علامة واحدة نضيفة لكل لفة هي اللي بتدي رقم موثوق.

خلي مسافة آمنة من الماكينات الدوارة وما تسيبش الجهاز أو كابله أو ملابس فضفاضة قريبة من الأجزاء المتحركة. أكد القراءة بأخذها مرتين من زوايا مختلفة، لأن انعكاس من سطح لامع غير مقصود على الماكينة سبب كلاسيكي لنتيجة أعلى من المتوقع.
