The UT12E-ROW voltage detector is UNI-T’s professional-grade dual-range non-contact AC detector, adding IP67 dust/water resistance and a tougher 2-meter drop rating over the standard D-ROW model.

UT12E-ROW voltage detector – How It Works

Like the D-ROW, it switches between a 24V-1000V low-sensitivity mode and a 90V-1000V high mode, but its sealed IP67 body means it can keep working after exposure to dust or a splash that would risk a standard detector. An optional vibration mode adds a silent alert for noisy job sites where a buzzer alone might go unnoticed.

Its CAT IV 1000V safety rating, plus CE/UKCA/cETLus certification, positions it for demanding industrial and utility-level work rather than casual home use.

Safety Checks

Test the instrument on a circuit you know is live before trusting a no-voltage indication on an unknown one, because a flat battery or a failed component can produce a dangerously reassuring silence. This live-dead-live check takes seconds and is standard practice among electricians for exactly this reason.

Remember that non-contact detectors respond to electric fields, so they can indicate on a wire that is capacitively coupled rather than genuinely energized, and they can miss a live conductor inside shielded or buried cable. Where the consequence of being wrong is serious, confirm with a direct-contact measurement before working.

فحوصات الأمان
