UT347A Leeb hardness tester – How It Works

The Leeb rebound method fires an impact body at the test surface and measures its rebound velocity – harder materials rebound faster – then converts that reading across all 6 hardness scales simultaneously without needing separate calibration per scale. It automatically recognizes the impact device when swapped (of 7 available types) and supports 5 impact directions (0, 45, 90, 135, 180 degrees), so it stays accurate whether testing a flat bench part or an awkward vertical surface.

A built-in 640×480 camera stores up to 900 photos alongside your readings, and statistical, multi-unit, line-chart, and histogram display modes turn raw hardness numbers into something you can actually document and report.
