The UT278A earth ground tester shares the UT276A+’s larger 32mm jaw for thicker grounding conductors, in the base (non-plus) configuration of UNI-T’s UT270 series.

UT278A earth ground tester – How It Works

Its 32mm jaw clamps around thicker grounding conductors than the 28mm-jaw UT273/UT275 can accommodate, measuring resistance from 0.01Ohm at 0.001Ohm resolution and leakage current up to 30A using the same clamp-around method that avoids disconnecting the ground line.

Built to IEC61010 safety standards with double insulation for outdoor field use, it carries the same auto range, data hold, and resistance limit alarm as the rest of the family.
