The UT273 earth ground tester is a clamp-style earth resistance meter from UNI-T, measuring grounding resistance from 0.01Ohm without disconnecting the ground line or needing auxiliary electrodes.

UT273 earth ground tester – How It Works

Clamp its 28mm jaw around a grounding conductor and it injects a signal to measure loop resistance directly, at a resolution of 0.001Ohm – a much faster and safer method than the traditional fall-of-potential test that requires driving auxiliary earth stakes. It also reads leakage current up to 30A on the same clamp, useful for spotting an overloaded or faulty ground path.

Its double-insulated design suits repeated outdoor field use, with auto range, data hold, and a resistance limit alarm to flag an unsafe ground reading immediately rather than requiring manual comparison.
