The UT207A clamp meter upgrades the original UT207 with auto/manual range selection and an LCD backlight, on a 3999-count display reading AC/DC current up to 1000A.

UT207A clamp meter – How It Works

Auto-ranging picks the right current scale for you rather than requiring a manual selection every time, though a manual override stays available when you want a fixed range for repeated measurements. The backlight makes readings visible in dim electrical panels or utility rooms where the original UT207’s screen would be hard to read.

It carries the same 1000A AC/DC current capability and 3-samples-per-second update rate as the base family, so the upgrade is purely about usability rather than a different measurement platform.
