The UT390B+ laser distance meter from UNI-T is a compact 40m-range rangefinder with ±2mm accuracy, built for construction, real estate, and general measurement tasks that would otherwise need a tape measure and multiple readings.

How It Works

The UT390B+ uses a Class 2 laser (620-680nm, under 1mW) to measure distance instantly, and can calculate area, volume, and use the Pythagorean theorem to derive indirect measurements (like a wall height from two angled shots). It stores up to 30 readings, supports add/subtract operations on length/area/volume/MAX/MIN, and includes automatic calibration and a built-in leveling bubble. At just 84g and 112x50x25mm, it fits easily in a pocket, with a rated battery life of 8000 measurements.

Measuring Accurately

Laser distance meters need a surface that reflects the beam back, so measuring to a dark, glossy, or transparent target often fails or returns an inaccurate value. Placing a light-coloured card at the target point solves most of these cases and costs nothing.

Choose the correct reference point setting, front edge or rear edge of the housing, before recording measurements, because the wrong reference introduces a fixed offset equal to the body length into every reading. In bright sunlight the laser dot becomes hard to see at longer distances, which is where a target plate or the instrument’s own viewfinder function earns its place.

القياس بدقة

أجهزة قياس المسافة بالليزر محتاجة سطح يعكس الشعاع، فالقياس على هدف غامق أو لامع أو شفاف غالبًا بيفشل أو بيدي قيمة غلط. حط كارت فاتح اللون عند نقطة الهدف بيحل أغلب الحالات دي وما بيكلفش حاجة.

اختار إعداد نقطة المرجع الصح، الحافة الأمامية أو الخلفية للجسم، قبل ما تسجل القياسات، لأن المرجع الغلط بيدخل إزاحة ثابتة بطول الجسم في كل قراءة. في الشمس الساطعة نقطة الليزر بتبقى صعبة الرؤية على مسافات أطول، وهنا بيبان فايدة لوحة الهدف أو خاصية عدسة الرؤية في الجهاز نفسه.
