The UT659A LED tester is a mains-powered UNI-T instrument that tests LEDs by outputting up to 300V and 30mA, automatically identifying polarity and adjusting to the LED’s actual forward voltage.

UT659A LED tester – How It Works

Powered directly from 85V-265V mains after a 1-minute warm-up for stable output, it applies an adaptive test voltage between 24V and 300V that automatically adjusts to whatever forward voltage drop the specific LED under test actually needs, rather than requiring you to guess a fixed voltage. Its automatic polarity detection means you don’t need to identify the anode and cathode before connecting the LED.

A separate continuity mode at 5V DC with 0-99.9 ohm resistance measurement covers basic connectivity checks alongside the main LED test function.
