Measurement Accuracy Notes

Surface emissivity affects infrared readings more than most users expect, so a shiny metal surface can read far cooler than it actually is unless a piece of matte tape or paint is applied to the measurement spot first. Non-contact thermometers report surface temperature only, which is not the same as the internal temperature of the object being checked.

Respect the distance-to-spot ratio, because moving further from the target widens the measured area and averages in surrounding surfaces. ملاحظات دقة القياس
