UT383S split light meter – How It Works

Its 10cm x 6cm illuminance probe sits at the end of a 55cm lead, so you can position the sensor at the exact point that matters – a plant canopy, a work surface, a studio light angle – while reading the display comfortably from a distance. At plus/minus (4%+8) accuracy and 0.5-second high-sensitivity sampling, it responds quickly enough to track a light source as you adjust it.

Auto range, overload indication (LO/HI), Max/Min, and backlight round out a portable meter built for the same repeated-measurement workflow as its integrated UT383 sibling, just with remote-probe flexibility.
