Its 635nm red laser projects 5 lines with a vertical emission angle of at least 110 degrees and horizontal of at least 130 degrees, self-leveling automatically at 90 degrees plus/minus 60 arcseconds orthogonality accuracy. Indoor operating radius runs about 10m by eye, extending to roughly 50m with UNI-T’s optional laser detector for larger or brighter spaces.

It ships complete with battery, power adapter, protective glasses, wire, belt, and case – a ready-to-use kit rather than a bare unit requiring separate accessory purchases.

Care and Practical Notes

Store the instrument in a dry place within its rated temperature range and remove the batteries if it will sit unused for an extended period, because a leaking cell is one of the most common ways a perfectly good test instrument is written off. A protective case pays for itself the first time the tool is dropped.

Let the instrument acclimatize when moving it between very different environments, and allow a short warm-up before precision work, since internal components need to reach a stable temperature before their readings settle.
