U304 JFET

The U304 JFET is a P-channel silicon junction FET designed as an analog switch, used in commutators, choppers, and switching applications requiring low insertion loss.

How It Works

The U304 JFET works as an analog switch controlled by gate voltage: when on, it presents a low insertion loss (on-resistance under 85Ω), letting a signal pass through with minimal attenuation; when off, its off-isolation is excellent, with off-state leakage current under 500pA, so almost no signal leaks through. As a P-channel device (the complement to N-channel switches like the U308/U309), it’s used where the switch needs to be driven with the opposite gate polarity convention.
