MCA255 55V Photodarlington Optocoupler

The MCA255 is a photodarlington-output optocoupler IC, combining a gallium arsenide infrared LED with a high-gain silicon photodarlington output rated for 55V.

MCA255 – How It Works

Its photodarlington output stage provides much higher current gain than a simple phototransistor output (like the PC817 also in this catalog), letting it respond to weaker LED drive currents while still delivering significant output current — at the cost of somewhat slower switching speed (10µs rise time) than simpler phototransistor designs.

Its photodarlington output makes it a better choice than a plain phototransistor optocoupler when the driving circuit can only supply a weak LED current but the application still needs meaningful output drive current.

خرجها فوتودارلنجتون بيخليها اختيار أفضل من أوبتوكوبلر فوتوترانزستور عادي لما دائرة التشغيل تقدر توفر بس تيار LED ضعيف لكن التطبيق لسه محتاج تيار تشغيل خرج ذو معنى.
