The LNK304PN (Power Integrations, LinkSwitch family) is a fully integrated off-line switcher IC — combining a high-voltage power MOSFET with a simple PWM controller for small, low-cost switch-mode power supplies.

LNK304 – How It Works

Similar in concept to the larger TOP246 (also in this catalog) but scaled down for low-power applications, it needs very few external components to build a complete small offline power supply — a popular choice for chargers and low-power adapters where minimizing component count matters.

It’s commonly found in small phone chargers and low-power wall adapters, where its low external component count keeps both manufacturing cost and physical size to a minimum.
