The LM78L15 is a fixed 15V positive linear voltage regulator IC in a low-power TO-92 transistor-style package, providing a small-current 15V rail for analog and general-purpose circuits.

LM78L15 – How It Works

Like the 78L05 also in this catalog but regulating to 15V instead of 5V, it accepts an unregulated DC input voltage above 15V and outputs a clean, stable 15V for low-current circuits (up to roughly 100mA), commonly used to power op-amp supply rails or bias circuits that specifically need this higher voltage.

Together with the 78L05 also in this catalog, it represents the small-current end of the 78Lxx regulator family — always confirm the exact voltage suffix (05, 12, 15, etc.) a circuit needs before substitution, since these are not interchangeable.
