LM258P Dual Operational Amplifier

The LM258P is a dual (2-in-1) general-purpose operational amplifier, the industrial-temperature-grade sibling of the LM158 and LM358 (both also in this catalog) in the same single-supply op-amp family.

LM258 – How It Works

Electrically identical in behavior to the LM158 and LM358, it sits in the middle of the temperature-grade family — wider range than the commercial-grade LM358 but not as extreme as the military-grade LM158 — in a standard plastic DIP package.

In most hobbyist and general commercial projects, the temperature-grade differences between the 158/258/358 family don’t matter — any of the three will work identically at room temperature.
