7824 Positive Voltage Regulator (24V, TO-220)

The 7824 is a fixed 24V positive linear voltage regulator IC in a TO-220 power package, the highest-voltage member of the classic 78xx three-terminal regulator series most commonly stocked.

7824 – How It Works

It accepts an unregulated DC input voltage above 24V (typically 27V or higher) and outputs a stable, clean 24V rail suitable for powering industrial 24V control equipment, relays, and motor control circuits, with the same built-in thermal shutdown and current-limiting protection found across the 78xx family.
