Battery Level Indicator Module 1S-7S – Lithium Battery Charge Display

Know your battery’s charge level at a glance with the Battery Level Indicator Module 1S-7S. Many DIY power projects and battery packs have no way to show remaining charge. As a result, this small module fills that gap with a simple 4-segment LED display. So, whether you’re building a power bank, an e-bike battery pack, or an RC project, you can see charge status in real time.

The module works with a jumper-pad selection system. You solder a bridge across one pad, labeled S1 through S7, to match your battery’s cell count. For example, a 3S lithium pack uses the S3 pad. Only one pad should ever be bridged at a time. In addition, the module calculates its display thresholds based on that cell count (N). Therefore, it lights 1 bar above N×3.3V, 2 bars above N×3.5V, 3 bars above N×3.7V, and all 4 bars above N×3.9V. Below N×3.3V, all bars turn off. This means the battery needs charging. At the top end, a full 7S pack reads around 29.4V.

As a result, this module suits a wide range of battery-powered builds. For example, it works well in e-bikes, drones, RC cars, solar setups, and custom lithium battery packs up to 7 cells in series. Hobbyists and technicians use it to avoid unexpected shutdowns during a project or a ride. It also helps during charging, since the bars show progress without needing a separate meter.

This is a widely available generic module, and no single manufacturer publishes an official datasheet for it. Because of this, the specifications below reflect the values that are consistent across multiple electronics suppliers carrying this same module design, not one specific brand’s claim. Always verify the maximum voltage for your chosen S-pad (4.3V × N) before connecting a battery.
