UT622E LCR meter – How It Works

Beyond the same 5 test frequencies as the UT612, it offers 3 selectable test signal levels (0.1V, 0.3V, 1V) and measures a wider parameter set including impedance (Z) and equivalent series resistance (ESR), useful for characterizing electrolytic capacitors where ESR often matters more than raw capacitance. A max test speed of 20 readings per second and a 99,999-count display push it into higher-precision territory than the entry UT603.

An 8-hour battery life on a compact handheld body makes it practical for extended bench sessions without a recharge interruption.

Component Measurement Notes

Discharge capacitors fully before connecting them, because a charged component can damage the meter’s input and give a meaningless reading in the process. Measure components out of circuit wherever possible, since parallel paths on a populated board combine with the part under test and distort the result.

Pay attention to the test frequency, as capacitance and inductance values are frequency-dependent and a part measured at one frequency can read differently at another. Zero or null the fixture with the leads in their measurement position before testing small values, because lead capacitance and inductance are significant at the low end of the range.

ملاحظات قياس المكونات

فرّغ المكثفات بالكامل قبل توصيلها، لأن مكون مشحون ممكن يضر دخل الجهاز ويدي قراءة بلا معنى في نفس الوقت. قيس المكونات خارج الدائرة قد الإمكان، لأن المسارات المتوازية على بورد مركبة بتتجمع مع القطعة تحت الاختبار وبتشوه النتيجة.

خد بالك من تردد الاختبار، لأن قيم السعة والحث بتعتمد على التردد وقطعة متقاسة على تردد ممكن تقرا مختلف على تردد تاني. صفّر التجهيزة والأسلاك في وضع القياس قبل اختبار قيم صغيرة، لأن سعة وحث الأسلاك بيبقوا مؤثرين في الطرف الواطي من المدى.
