The TDA8137 (ST/SGS-Thomson Microelectronics) is a dual 5.1V voltage regulator IC with disable and reset functions, providing two precision-regulated 5.1V supply rails plus system monitoring features.

TDA8137 – How It Works

Each of its two channels independently regulates its input down to a precise 5.1V output (able to source up to 1A), while the disable input lets either regulator be shut off under external control, and the reset function monitors the output voltage to signal downstream logic if the supply drops out of tolerance — useful for microprocessor supervisory circuits.

Its built-in reset/supervisory function makes it especially suited to powering microprocessor or digital logic boards where a clean, monitored power-up sequence is important, beyond just simple voltage regulation.
