MG995 Continuous Rotation Servo – How It Works

Inside the servo, a small DC motor drives the output shaft through the half metal gear train, while a built-in potentiometer continuously reports the shaft’s actual position back to the servo’s internal control circuit, which compares it against the position commanded by an incoming PWM signal and drives the motor to close that gap. This closed-loop design is what makes a servo hold a specific angle under load rather than simply spinning like a plain DC motor, and it’s controlled with the same standard hobby-servo PWM signal (a pulse roughly 1-2ms wide repeated every 20ms) used across the entire RC and robotics hobby ecosystem, so it plugs directly into an Arduino, ESP32 or RC receiver output with no special driver circuit needed. Rated for 8.5-10 kg.cm of stall torque on a 4.8-6V supply, it delivers enough force for light mechanical loads like a small robot arm joint, a camera pan/tilt mount, or a control surface on an RC model.

جوه السيرفو، موتور DC صغير بيشغل عمود الخرج عبر مجموعة تروس half metal، بينما بوتنشيوميتر مدمج بيبلغ باستمرار عن موضع العمود الفعلي رجوع لدائرة التحكم الداخلية بتاعة السيرفو، اللي بتقارنه بالموضع المطلوب من إشارة PWM واردة وبتشغل الموتور عشان تقفل الفجوة دي. التصميم ذو الحلقة المغلقة ده هو اللي بيخلي السيرفو يحافظ على زاوية محددة تحت حمل بدل ما يدور بس زي موتور DC عادي، وبيتحكم فيه بنفس إشارة PWM القياسية لسيرفو الهواية (نبضة حوالي 1-2 ملي ثانية بتتكرر كل 20 ملي ثانية) المستخدمة عبر نظام هواية RC والروبوتات بالكامل، فبيتوصل مباشرة بأردوينو أو ESP32 أو خرج مستقبل RC من غير الحاجة لدائرة تشغيل خاصة. مقنن لعزم توقف 8.5-10 kg.cm على تغذية 4.8-6 فولت، بيوصل قوة كافية لأحمال ميكانيكية خفيفة زي مفصل ذراع روبوت صغير، أو حامل بان/تيلت كاميرا، أو سطح تحكم في موديل RC.
