The Nylon PCB Standoff Spacer is a small plastic post that raises a circuit board a fixed 7.5mm off its mounting surface, giving clearance for solder joints, wiring and airflow underneath while electrically isolating the board from whatever it’s mounted to.

Nylon PCB Standoff – How It Works

Unlike a metal standoff, nylon is naturally non-conductive, so it can sit directly against exposed solder pads or traces on the underside of a PCB without risking a short circuit to a metal chassis or enclosure, which matters for boards where the mounting holes are close to live copper.
