PCB Double Layer FR4 10×10 – How It Works

FR4 is a fiberglass-reinforced epoxy laminate (flame-retardant grade) with a copper layer bonded to one or both faces, giving a rigid, chemically etchable and mechanically strong base for circuit construction. This double layer board measures 10x10cm and comes as a plain copper-clad sheet, meaning it can be used as-is for chemical etching a custom PCB layout, for point-to-point soldering of through-hole components, or cut down to a smaller custom size with a hacksaw or PCB cutter for a specific enclosure. Because it ships unpopulated and unetched, it works equally well for one-off repair jobs, prototyping a new circuit before committing to a professionally manufactured PCB, or teaching basic soldering and circuit-building skills.
