MC3301P Quad Operational Amplifier

The MC3301P (Motorola) is a quad (4-in-1) operational amplifier IC designed for single-supply operation, functionally equivalent to the widely-used LM324 (also in this catalog).

MC3301 – How It Works

Like the LM324, its inputs and output can operate near ground with only a single positive supply, making it easy to use in simple 5V or 12V logic/battery-powered circuits without needing a negative supply rail.

It’s a good example of “second sourcing” in the classic semiconductor industry — different manufacturers producing functionally identical parts under their own part numbers to the same general specification.
