The BA6259N motor driver IC is a ROHM SIP-10 package chip that packs two independent reversible DC motor driver circuits on a single die, with a built-in thermal shutdown circuit for protection under sustained load.

How It Works

Each of the two driver channels in the BA6259N takes logic-level inputs and switches its output H-bridge stage between forward, reverse, and stop states, allowing two small DC motors (or one motor with independent brake control) to be driven from a single chip. The thermal shutdown circuit continuously monitors die temperature and disables the outputs if the chip overheats, protecting both the IC and the driven circuit from damage during a stall or short-circuit condition.
