How It Works

Wind speed is measured from 2 to 30m/s (roughly 1.4-108 km/h) with accuracy of ±(3%+0.5) at the lower range and ±(3%+0.8) at the higher range, alongside temperature from 0C to 40C (±3C). Readings can be displayed in 7 selectable units — m/s, km/h, ft/min, mph, knots, CFM, or CMM — covering both metric and imperial workflows. Measuring Airflow Properly

Hold the sensor perpendicular to the airflow and keep your own body out of the stream, because standing in front of a duct or vent disturbs the very flow you are trying to measure. Take an average of several readings across the opening rather than a single centre-point value, since velocity varies noticeably across most duct cross-sections.

Allow the vane or hot-wire sensor a moment to stabilize before recording a value, and protect the sensor head during transport, as a bent vane or damaged wire element changes the calibration the instrument depends on. Clean dust off the sensor gently, never with solvents or compressed air at close range.
