SN74153 SMD Dual 4-Input to 1-Line Multiplexer

The SN74153 (SMD package) is the surface-mount version of the dual 4-to-1 multiplexer — functionally identical to the DIP version, packaged for compact PCB assembly.

74153 – How It Works

Same internal logic as the through-hole part: two independent 4-to-1 multiplexers sharing common select lines, each with its own strobe/enable — just in a smaller footprint suited to automated SMD assembly.

Choose this SMD variant specifically for automated pick-and-place assembly or when board space is at a premium, otherwise it behaves identically to the DIP version.
