The Arduino Uno Prototyping Shield is the plain perfboard option for anyone who has outgrown breadboard wiring for a specific circuit but doesn’t want to design a custom PCB — it keeps the Uno’s exact shield footprint so it stacks with other shields normally.

Uno Prototyping Shield – Core Specs

Every Uno digital and analog pin is broken out to a matching row of solder pads in the same physical position as the header underneath, so jumper wires or direct solder connections can bridge a custom circuit to the Uno’s I/O without any adapter. Because the layout is unpowered perfboard rather than a pre-wired breadboard, there’s no risk of a stray breadboard connection working loose in a finished, vibration-prone project — everything that’s soldered stays soldered.

Because the pad layout mirrors the Uno’s header exactly, a HAT-style shield swap between a breadboard prototype and this permanent version needs no rewiring of the jumpers that connect back to the Uno itself once the design has been proven and is ready to be made permanent.
