UT673PV solar MPPT meter – How It Works

Connect it inline via its integrated MC4 connectors and it reads open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, peak-power voltage, peak-power current, and maximum power directly – the core diagnostics for spotting shading, soiling, or panel degradation without pulling the panel apart. Because it draws power from the panel itself, there’s no battery to charge or run out mid-inspection.

A manual MPPT test mode, data hold, and large color LCD make field readings quick and clear, while reverse-polarity, overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, and overpower protection keep both the meter and panel safe during testing.
