BUS13 transistor

The BUS13 transistor is a high-voltage, high-speed NPN silicon power transistor in a TO-3 package, designed for converters, inverters, switching regulators, and motor control applications.

How It Works

The BUS13 transistor combines high collector-emitter voltage tolerance with fast switching speed, letting a small base current control a much larger collector current while the device repeatedly blocks a high voltage during each switching cycle. This voltage/speed combination is exactly what converters, inverters, and switching regulators need in their power-switching stage, where the transistor must survive large voltage swings on a rectified DC bus while switching efficiently at each cycle to minimize losses.
