10PCS Automatic Irrigation Kit Self Watering System

Automatic Irrigation Kit (10 Sets)

The automatic irrigation kit bundles 10 sets of the parts needed to build a soil-moisture-triggered watering system with Arduino: resistive soil moisture probes, relay modules to switch a pump or solenoid valve, and basic tubing, aimed at small-scale garden or plant-watering automation projects.

Irrigation Kit – Core Specs

The resistive soil moisture sensors output an analog voltage that drops as soil conductivity rises with moisture content, which an Arduino reads on an analog pin and compares against a threshold to decide when to water. The relay modules handle switching a 12V pump or solenoid valve on and off, since these draw far more current than an Arduino’s GPIO pins can safely supply directly. Because resistive moisture probes corrode over time from constant contact with wet soil, expect to replace the probes themselves periodically even though the electronics and relays last much longer.

Key Features

• 10x resistive soil moisture sensor probes
• 10x relay modules for pump/valve switching
• Basic tubing for water delivery
• Analog output, Arduino-compatible

Typical Applications

• Automated garden or houseplant watering
• Multi-zone irrigation projects (up to 10 zones)
• Learning analog sensor thresholds and relay control together

Specifications

• Sensor type: resistive, analog output
• Sets included: 10 (sensor + relay per set)
• Water delivery: basic tubing included

Because soil moisture sensors of this resistive type are generic and produced by many manufacturers, calibrate the wet/dry threshold values for your own specific soil rather than assuming a fixed value copied from an online tutorial will match your exact soil and pot conditions.

Testing each sensor’s readings in both bone-dry and freshly-watered soil before finalizing the threshold saves a lot of guesswork later, once the whole irrigation system is running unattended for days or even weeks at a stretch.
