The 75154PC (Tungsram, functionally equivalent to the Texas Instruments SN75154) is a quadruple differential line receiver IC, designed to receive EIA/TIA-232-E (RS-232) standard serial signals.

75154 – How It Works

Each of its four independent receiver channels converts the incoming RS-232-level signal into a clean TTL-compatible logic level, with built-in hysteresis for noise immunity and an adjustable input threshold to accommodate different fail-safe requirements — a standard building block for RS-232 serial interface circuits.

As a Tungsram-manufactured equivalent to the Texas Instruments SN75154, it can be treated as pin- and function-compatible in RS-232 receiver circuits originally designed around the TI part.
