UNI-T UT207B Digital Clamp Meter

The UT207B clamp meter is a newer-generation UNI-T meter adding LoZ ghost-voltage filtering, an LPF mode for VFD/inverter voltage, and inrush current capture over the older UT207/UT207A pair.

UT207B clamp meter – How It Works

Its LoZ mode filters out ghost voltage that a standard high-impedance meter can pick up on an unloaded circuit, while its LPF (low-pass filter) mode gives a clean voltage reading on inverter and variable-frequency-drive outputs where switching noise would otherwise confuse a standard meter. Inrush current mode captures the brief current spike a motor draws at startup, before it settles to running current.

Part of UNI-T’s newer UT200 series alongside the more advanced UT206B and UT208B, it represents a real generational jump over the older UT207/UT207A family rather than an incremental tweak.

Getting Accurate Readings

Clamp only one conductor at a time when measuring current, because enclosing both the live and neutral wires together cancels their magnetic fields and produces a near-zero reading. Center the conductor inside the jaw opening as much as possible, since a wire pressed against the edge of the jaw reads slightly lower than one sitting in the middle.

Keep the jaw faces clean and free of dust or corrosion, because any gap or debris between the two halves when they close weakens the magnetic coupling the measurement depends on. Check that the jaws close fully and align properly before each session, as a bent or misaligned jaw is a common cause of readings that drift from the true value.

إزاي تاخد قراءات دقيقة

امسك موصل واحد بس في المرة وانت بتقيس التيار، لأن إحاطة سلك الحي والمحايد مع بعض بتلغي مجالاتهم المغناطيسية وبتدي قراءة قريبة من الصفر. وسّط الموصل جوه فتحة الفك قد ما تقدر، لأن سلك ملزوق في حافة الفك بيقرا أقل شوية من سلك في النص.

خلي وشوش الفك نضيفة وخالية من الغبار أو الصدأ، لأن أي فجوة أو أوساخ بين النصين وهما بيقفلوا بتضعف الاقتران المغناطيسي اللي القياس معتمد عليه. اتأكد إن الفكوك بتقفل بالكامل ومتحاذية صح قبل كل جلسة، لأن فك معوج أو مش متحاذي سبب شائع لقراءات بتنحرف عن القيمة الحقيقية.
