The VIPER22A (STMicroelectronics) is an integrated off-line switch-mode power supply IC, part of the same VIPer family as the VIPER12A also in this catalog, combining a high-voltage MOSFET and PWM controller in one DIP-8 package.

VIPER22A – How It Works

Like the VIPER12A, it integrates the switching transistor and control logic on a single die, but is generally specified for a somewhat higher output power range within the VIPer family lineup, making it a common choice for slightly higher-wattage chargers and small appliance power supplies.
