GL12528 12mm LDR

The GL12528 12mm LDR is a larger, higher-power cadmium-sulfide photoresistor than the 7mm GL7528, offering a bigger sensing surface for stronger light-response current handling.

How It Works

Built from a CdS photo-conductive cell, the GL12528’s resistance drops as ambient light increases, reading roughly 10-20KΩ under standard 10-lux illumination and rising to around 2MΩ in darkness — a wider dark-state resistance than the 7mm variant. Its larger 12mm through-hole body handles up to 250VDC and 200mW (versus the 7mm’s 150VDC/100mW), with a spectral peak near 560nm and the same 20ms rise/30ms fall response time.
