The Line Follower Sensor Module gives you optical sensors for a line-following robot. The photo shows two sensor units, each with long metal leads and a blue lens. As a result, you can wire them into a robot chassis and read the surface under the robot.

How the Line Follower Sensor Module Works

First, each unit looks down at the floor. Second, a dark line reflects less light than a light surface, so the reading changes. Then your controller compares the two readings and steers the robot along the line. Because the leads are long, you can bend and place them at the height your chassis needs. Therefore, test the sensor height and the wiring on the bench first.
