Solder Wick CP-2015 (1.5m, 2.0mm)

The Solder Wick 2.0mm is a flux-impregnated braided copper desoldering wick, supplied as a 1.5m length at 2.0mm width, used to lift excess or unwanted solder off a joint by capillary action.

Solder Wick – How It Works

Pressing the fluxed copper braid against a solder joint and heating it with a soldering iron melts the solder underneath, and the fine woven copper strands draw the liquid solder up into the braid through capillary action, the same physical effect that pulls water up into a paper towel, wicking the molten metal away from the joint and into the braid where it solidifies and can be trimmed off. The braid’s own flux coating helps the drawn solder flow more freely into the weave rather than clumping, and the 2.0mm width is sized for medium-scale work like SOIC and QFP component leads or clearing a bridged joint, wider than the finest braids meant for tiny 0402/0603 pads but narrower than heavy-duty braids meant for large through-hole pads. Because the wick works by direct contact heating rather than vacuum suction like a desoldering pump, it’s especially effective at clearing solder bridges between closely-spaced pins and cleaning residual solder off a pad after a component has already been removed.

الضغط بضفيرة النحاس المفلوكسة على وصلة لحام وتسخينها بكاوية لحام بيدوب القصدير تحتها، وخيوط النحاس المجدولة الدقيقة بتسحب القصدير السائل لجوه الضفيرة عن طريق الخاصية الشعرية، نفس التأثير الفيزيائي اللي بيسحب المية لجوه منشفة ورق، بيسحب المعدن المصهور بعيد عن الوصلة وجوه الضفيرة حيث بيتصلب وممكن يتقص. طلاء الفلوكس بتاع الضفيرة نفسها بيساعد القصدير المسحوب يتدفق بحرية أكتر جوه الحياكة بدل ما يتكتل، وعرض 2.0 مم مقاس لشغل متوسط الحجم زي أطراف مكونات SOIC وQFP أو مسح وصلة متجسرة، أوسع من أدق الضفائر المخصصة للبادات الصغيرة 0402/0603 بس أضيق من ضفائر شغل ثقيل مخصصة للبادات ثقب-من-خلال الكبيرة. وبما إن الضفيرة بتشتغل بتسخين تلامس مباشر مش شفط فراغي زي شفاط قصدير، فعالة بالذات لمسح جسور قصدير بين أطراف متقاربة وتنظيف قصدير متبقي من لبادة بعد ما مكون اتشال بالفعل.
